Allie attended TCU for both undergrad and grad school & considers herself a Horned Frog for life, as she also currently teaches in the nursing school. She has both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and Doctorate of Nursing Practice degrees. She spent 8+ years working in the Pediatric Oncology Unit at Cook Children’s Medical Center switching gears as a practitioner. Outside of owning Pokin’ People Pretty, she also sees patients at a primary care clinic & rounds at a skilled/long term care facility. When Allie isn’t working, there’s a good chance you’ll still find her on the move! She still regularly attends TCU football games, is an avid RevStrong member, competes in Hyrox competitions, and is also a mama to MANY fur babies (include the feral population)! She’s loud, educated, colorful, and thinks everything is a bit happier when it’s covered in sparkles! 🤍✨🪩
